Yves H. Berthelot, Ph.D.
Dr. Berthelot’s areas of expertise are in acoustics, noise, vibrations, ultrasonics, and instrumentation. His consulting activities range from residential noise, outdoor noise, advanced materials for sound absorption, ultrasonic device design and characterization, among others. He has also provided expert witness testimony in legal proceedings.
Dr. Berthelot received a Presidential Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation in 1988, the Lindsay award from the Acoustical Society of America in 1991, and the Gold medal from Pi-Tau-Sigma American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 1991. He is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and a former president of the Georgia Chapter of the ASA. Dr. Berthelot is very active in research. He has published extensively and holds two patents.
